Dr. Mangini tries to cover his clients emergencies whenever possible. He does have a family and life away from the practice and so may not be available at all times. In his absence there are two emergency clinics in the area that have agreed to cover for him whenever he is not available.
If you have an urgent animal emergency that you feel needs immediate attention, please:
If you do not get a response in a short amount of time (20 min.) you can try to call one of the emergency clinics. We recommend you try:
1) Small Animal Veterinary Emergency Services (SAVES) 603-306-0007.
They are in Lebanon, NH (exit 18 off of rte 89 across from the High School). Dr. Dan Kelly and his staff are very competent and compassionate. If you have a daytime emergency and we are not available SAVES will offer clients of WAC a significant discount if you mention you are one of our clients.
2) VCARES 603-643-6333
The other emergency clinic to try (if Dan is busy) is VCARES in West Lebanon, NH at 603-643-6333.
They are on the Hanover, NH town line across from Campion Rink.
After treatment both emergency clinics will forward your pets records to us the following morning. You will be given the choice of transporting your pet back to WAC or staying at the clinic. Please let us know of your experience with either of these clinics as they both are quite new to the area. We will update any information as it presents itself.
